BIOGRAPHY
Linda Ershow-Levenberg is the managing Attorney of the Firm. She represents seniors, people with disabilities, and those who care for them, by securing access to government benefits and planning for life-long family care & asset protection. Her tool kit includes estate planning, special needs trusts, litigation, guardianship, and Medicaid applications & appeals. Each case gets individualized personal attention from a team at the Firm.
Linda has been certified in Elder Law (C.E.L.A.)* by the National Elder Law Foundation since 1999, is the past chairman of the New Jersey State Bar Association Elder & Disability Law Section, and is a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners (C.A.P.) of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
Linda has served as a mentor to other attorneys throughout her career, and since 1997 has been a frequent lecturer on elder and special needs disability law to attorneys, other professionals, and the general public, through the NJ Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE); Rutgers Law School Institute for Professional Education (IPE); and other organizations.
Along with practicing law, Linda is always volunteering. She hosted externs from Douglass Residential College (Rutgers University) for over thirty years. She coached teams for Princeton Moot Court competitions, and judged high school Mock Trial Competitions. She is a mentor to members of the NJ elder law bar and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Linda also assisted immigrants through the Darfur Refugee Resettlement Project, served on the advisory council of the Grotta Fund for Senior Care, was President and long-time board member of the YM-YWHA of Union County, and is an avid folk music singer/songwriter.
Linda earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Douglass College (Rutgers University), Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and her J.D. from Rutgers University Law School-Newark.
She and her husband David Levenberg received awards for community leadership in 2013 from the YM-YWHA of Union County and Jewish Family Services of Union County. They have four children.
